While immersed in the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, believed to be the birthplace of humanity, South African Biological Scientist, Jené Roestorf, was confronted with the question ‘What do I value in life?’.
This incredibly humbling experience made her realize that she wanted to have a meaningful, positive impact on the nature and communities she grew up in and loved.
At the same time, the beauty industry was undergoing a revolution. The rise of consumer activism combined with health becoming the new wealth meant that brands were being forced to re-evaluate their ethics and ingredients for their effects on people and the planet.
Inspired by this paradigm shift, Jené scoured the globe for ethically harvested, transformational botanicals to create LUXE Botanics, an award-winning, eco-luxury skincare brand that unites science-driven formulations with intelligent beauty activism that meaningfully gives back to harvesting communities around the world.
